On Monday a group of Auckland innovation enthusiasts came together for the next chapter of New Zealand's Innovation Skills events.
Last year these sessions happened in Auckland, Dunedin, Christchurch and Tauranga, the goal being to trial an open, loosely coupled think-tank designed to bring together New Zealand innovators to collaborate and share knowledge about innovation barriers. However innovative we kiwi's are, our problems are often more deeply connected than our responses.
This year Callaghan Innovation will be driving the events and ensuring they are happening regularly in many regions. Monday's event saw a different format to 2015, with facilitator Dean Donovan taking attendees through a design thinking exercise. Dean has a strong background in Customer Experience and Service Design, and among other things lead service design projects for New Zealand Trade and Enterprise for over three years.
To be kept in the loop with future sessions, and contribute to conversation about the future of innovation in New Zealand, join the Innovation Skills New Zealand LinkedIn Group.
