Tait Communications, a multinational company with it's headquarters in Christchurch, develops world-leading voice and radio technologies, exporting about 95% of it's products. Founded by New Zealand electronics innovator and entrepreneur Sir Angus Tait, the company's founding staff produced the first generation of all-transistor mobile radios in New Zealand. Tait has offices in six countries, and a network of distributors and dealers in another 150.
It is the perfect venue to host some of the regions top product innovators.
Christchurch has hosted one other Innovation Skills session, at Callaghan Innovation's Burnside offices, but we are thrilled to be able to involve a leading manufacturer such as Tait in this initiative. Their new event space, opened in April by Prime Minister John Key, is a leading conference facility.
What Is Innovation Skills?
Velox Innovation, with support from Callaghan Innovation and PDMA-NZ, are developing the Innovation Skills initiative - high impact sessions where the nation's top product development CEO's, engineers, entrepreneurs, managers and domain experts can collaborate and share knowledge about specific product and commercialisation barriers.
This is a great chance for our top innovators to get together to solve real problems, and we are gradually building momentum. Events have now been held in Auckland, Dunedin and Christchurch, and the first Tauranga event on the second will see the initiative reach the Bay of Plenty.
We are specifically looking for real practitioners, who are developing high-value products and services. If this sounds like you, please grab a ticket and join our discussion on the future of product innovation in New Zealand.
